“Plead The 5th” highlights Tyra’s ability as a songwriter and an artist to convey emotions and portray characters, telling the story of a mistreated significant other navigating a tumultuous relationship. The song's narrative takes a twist when confronted by the police about her husband's disappearance, Tyra skillfully exercises her right to remain silent, leaving listeners intrigued and engaged. Tyra is a known “crime junkie” to her family and friends, and writing this track allowed her to showcase the sense of independence and courage to her listeners.
"Hurts A Little Less” beautifully captures the raw emotions of heartbreak and the struggle to move on. Through her evocative lyrics, Tyra illustrates the strength of resilience in the face of pain.
